Seth Barnes is a solid Christian man with sound doctrine! I am always concerned and careful of the doctrinal beliefs and teachings of so-called "Christian" writers, but his is in line with the truth of the bible.
This is a very helpful book in learning how to listen as I pray to hear God's word. I feel a little more understanding of missionary work and am sure this will guide me in my upcoming adventure.

I completed a few chapters- following directions with journaling. I wrote in a 5X7 spiral notebook to allow for more space than in the book. Writing down what I sense the Lord is saying to me, really gives me more ability to focus and hear Him. I read a chapter, pray for the Lord to speak to me, and then trust that what I am hearing or sensing in my heart is from Him. Often, when I read what I had written on another day, I am just so amazed at what God had said to me- personally to me. . The gift of writing it down, is that I can go back to it- which is helpful in growing in my relationship with the Lord.
