This is so amazing if it were reprinted in hardbound again I would buy it as well. It's worth every penny. The art is freakin' amazing and I love the sketches and notes. It really helps bring alive the symbolism the artist was working with. It really adds depth and more synthesizing of what the art work means to me and what the artists brought to the table. My daughter loves this deck and is her go to deck for me to read from, because she says, "it's the pretty one" and that touches her like no other decks do. When I do readings with her she loves to read the meanings with me and analyze the art (she is also an artist). I actually have this book facing out so the cover can be seen on my shelf (it rotates with the minors book).I actually have two Shadowscapes decks so that I can keep one in my purse at all times! It moves me like no other deck does (though I do greatly joy the other decks I own).Just so others know, this is a reprinting of the original hardbound that was out of print for a couple years or so. The hardbound minors book is not yet out of print from the original printing. If you do a Google search you will be able to find the minors book and purchase it. That's what I did. Totally worth it.Even without the minors book, the Shadowscapes Tarot Major Arcana book is absolutely worth it and for a good price.
Shadow scapes book didn't include all 78 cards so I was disappointed. I was expecting a brief description of all 78 cards.
This is a gorgeous addition to the most beautiful tarot deck. You can really examine the paintings in these larger prints. Her sketches and notes are, as always, inspiring and intricate. The book isn't long but you can easily lose yourself in it for hours. I wish the minor arcana book was available on Amazon too, but a nother reviewer mentioned it is available on her website. You can see how she developed the images for each card through the notes and sketches and it really brings the deeper meaning of each image to life. If you are a fan,you need this book.
It includes the beautiful artwork of the Shadowscapes Tarot - but just the Major Arcana, which was a disappointment. If you’re looking for a detailed explanation of all the cards, order the Shadowscapes Tarot (not deck). The deck contains an EXTREMELY brief description of all the cards, no reverse meaning. This book is an overall great addition. Just lacking in information and larger than expected (8 x 10) workbook size.
If you own her tarot deck, this book is a must-purchase! This one beautifully presents the Major Arcana, showing details of her alluring artwork. I am hoping she publishes a series that covers the other cards in the deck.
I was expecting more information out of this book. It’s beautiful and I e never worked with anything like it so I was hoping for more guidance
I haven’t finished this book. I love that it is large and easy to read. Although it doesn’t have a description for every card in the deck. I wish it did.
What information the book contains is great, however it only covers the major arcana. I feel the book is complete.
